Safety

All walks are carried out within the boundarys set by Charmouth Parish Councils Code of Conduct for Guided Walks Leaders

All fossilwalks.com fieldtrips have been risk assessed, they are very safe, we do not go under the cliffs and always collect on a falling or low tide.

Suitability
As a rough guide m
y Fossil Hunting Trips to Charmouth are suitable for families with children of 4 years and above with information aimed at Junior school age or older.
Guided Geology Tours are aimed at adults but may be suitable for very keen children.

Group organisers are informed that excursions take place on coastal and inland sections where walking on uneven ground and beach cobbles may prove a challenge. Each site is chosen for ease of access, however walking of up to half a mile and some mild climbing over rocks may be involved. That said many older participants have found the trips wholly manageable. Older and bolder groups welcome! It is not advisable to bring a buggie or pram.

It is the responsibility of the group organiser to ensure all participants are fit and healthy and can cope with the challenge presented to them in a fieldwork situation. Please notify me of any medical conditions which might affect participation before booking.

Sorry no dogs July-September,
Local Parish By-Law applies.
